RETRAINING PROCESS

Process

Our clients consistently feel immediate benefits from the prescribed exercises, often within the first session. Long-term progress for clients with dystonia depends on moving slowly in the first few months to eliminate symptoms. On average, retraining takes about a year. Players with injuries report less pain in the first few months. Slow and incremental retraining is necessary for complete healing and to prevent reinjury.

A player is considered successfully retrained when they can perform without dystonic symptoms and more efficiently than before the onset of MD. Most clients experience continual improvement, though with occasional setbacks, especially early on. These diminish as they gain more experience. It is extremely rare for a player to make no progress or have relapses. We have assisted over 1,000 players, streamlining the recovery process for our clients.
